    1 About the Beta

Yours to use, for as long as you like.

AudioCrucible is currently in free public beta. I'll keep shipping updates regularly until the app feels polished and reliable enough for a stable release.

Once it leaves beta, AudioCrucible will become a one-time purchase ($69), with an optional annual plan ($29/year) for software and AI updates. Beta users keep their current build for free.

As a thank-you, every beta tester who tips during the beta receives a 20% discount at launch, use the same email as your registration, or mention it in your Ko-Fi message.

    What AudioCrucible Does

    Everything you need to organize
    a sound library.

Built around the work you actually do. Select your folders, let AudioCrucible analyze, review and edit the suggestions, then commit the rename, all in one window.

    Smart Classification

AudioCrucible listens to every file and picks the right UCS category for it. Birds, ambiences, impacts, voice, electronic textures, anything in the standard, all handled.

    Naming Templates

Build a filename template once, AudioCrucible applies it to every file. Mix any combination of CatID, keywords, description, project name, recordist, dates, take numbers, custom prefixes and suffixes, anything that fits your library's convention.

    Efficient Editor

A spreadsheet-style editor with inline editing, UCS autocomplete, and tab / arrow-key navigation. Correct one field and the rest cascade. Voice dictation on every cell, hands-free or push-to-talk. Filter, multi-select, undo, redo, all keyboard-driven.

    Deep Analysis

Spot unusual events buried in long field recordings. The interactive spectrogram highlights them; right-click any region to listen to it isolated from the rest.

    Eight Languages

Work in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Hindi, or Thai. Keywords, titles, and descriptions all translate cleanly.

    Metadata, Read & Write

Reads and writes industry-standard metadata (BWF, iXML, Vorbis comments) directly into your audio files, so they show up correctly in Soundminer, BaseHead, Reaper, Pro Tools and any other library tool you use. Supported formats: WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, plus MP3 (read only).

    How it works.

A quick overview of the workflow. AudioCrucible does the heavy lifting, you stay in control.

    STEP 01

    Select folder(s)

Point AudioCrucible at one or several folders on your drive.

    STEP 02

    Let it listen

The AI analyzes each file in seconds, locally on your machine.

    STEP 03

    Review & edit

Skim the suggestions, fix anything with autocomplete or voice input.

    STEP 04

    Rename & tag

One click renames the files and embeds the metadata.

    Community & Ethics

    AudioCrucible gets sharper
    with every contribution.

Sound design vocabulary is shaped by the people who actually do the work. Every correction you choose to share teaches the AI something a researcher wouldn't catch: how a specific synonym is used in practice, which subcategory feels right for a tricky recording, what reads as wrong to a professional ear.

Your audio stays on your machine. Only an anonymous fingerprint of the sound and your corrected labels are sent. Original files, session names, and folder structure all remain private.

Over time, the model gets sharper for everyone: better matches, fewer mistakes, less manual editing for the next person who installs AudioCrucible. That's the whole idea.

    Opt-in only

Data sharing is off by default. Turn it on when you want, off when you don't.

    Audio stays local

Your sound files never leave your computer. Only an anonymous fingerprint is shared.

    Fully transparent

No hidden collection, no analytics, no third-party tracking. Ever.

    You stay in control
